Less is more so start with 1 graphics mod, 1 overhaul mod, a few armour mods (don't combine Gondor with Roman for example) My experience with games like these (oblivion was the same) don't enable all of them at once. It's strange that your game even enters at all in my experience when mods usually conflict the game doesn't work at all.
